The Village Family Centre is a Social Enterprise with a mission to promote life-long health and wellbeing for caregivers and children. 

The Village Family Centre offers evidence-based supports that are grounded in attachment theory and;

• Trauma-sensitive
• Sensory-informed

The upstream model of care at The Village Family Centre is a proactive approach which prioritises support, education and capacity building of parents, carers and teachers in order to meet the needs of their children.  

The Village Family Centre has continued to evolve since 2022 and offers a variety of Occupational Therapy services across Far North Queensland in the community and via online services. 

• 1:1 Paediatric therapy with an emphasis on carer capacity building 
• 1:1 Parent / caregiver support 
• Group caregiver support and information sessions
• Information and support for professional early childhood care providers and teachers in schools, daycares and other organisations
