The Circle of Security Classroom program is a professional learning series developed to meet the needs of Daycares and Primary Schools. The program delivers practical applications of Attachment Theory and Developmental Psychology. The Circle of Security Classroom program includes new resources, content, reflective discussions and videos relevant to education settings.
Over 25 years of research has demonstrated that stronger relationships with carers and teachers are associated with lifelong improvements in academic outcomes, mental health and emotional regulation, social competence and willingness to take on challenges.
Investing in the quality of classroom relationships can also improve teacher well-being, and job satisfaction. The Circle of Security Classroom program explores the personal factors inextricably linked with carer’s capacity to recognise and meet the needs of children.
For best outcomes, participants commit to the program of weekly sessions (approximately 2 hours each) for 10 to 12 weeks*.
Each week builds on the content learned from the week prior, so if you miss a session we will need to catch up prior to the next one. This also means that the program might not be suitable for those that aren’t able to commit to attending all of the sessions.
*Custom programs to meet your organisation's needs and availability are available on request.

Your organisation may be eligible for funding under various schemes.
The Inclusion Development Fund (IDF) is one source used by organisations I have collaborated with. I do not have any direct association with IDF.
The Inclusion Development Fund provides funding for flexible and tailored inclusion support that goes beyond the scope of support that can be provided by traditional Inclusion Agencies.
Innovative Solutions Support enables services to implement other solutions to their barriers to inclusion and develop your organisation’s capacity and capability to include children with additional needs.
This funding allows organisations to engage an external provider (eg The Village Family Centre) who has relevant skills, experience and qualifications in relation to the identified inclusion barriers and is able to support the development of the service’s inclusion capacity.
